Insurance Coverage Provided by State Farm Insurance
State Farm provides the following plans for
your review, with a partnership with Assurant Health (the
top provider of individual health plans) for the first four
types:
Individual Medical Insurance Coverage
Provides comprehensive benefits with options that allow you
to customize each plan according to your needs. Unfortunately,
it is not available to residents of HI, ME, MA, NJ, NY, RI,
VT, WA.
One Deductible Plan
Includes
a high annual deductible that covers all insured persons and
all covered services. Due to the high deductible, this is
a lower premium plan. This plan can also be combined with
an HSA or Health Savings Account from State Farm Bank. This
plan is not available to residents of HI, ME, MA, NJ, NY,
RI, VT, WA.
Short Term Medical
Temporary
health insurance with coverages from 30 to 365 days, depending
on your state of residence. It is intended for those who need
health insurance for only a short time. Unfortunately, it
is not available in HI, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VT.
Student Select
Individual
health insurance for college students up to age 29. It is
renewable and intended for those outside their parents HMO
or PPO region. Residents of HI, ME, MA, NH, NJ, NY, RI cannot
access this plan.
Supplemental Medical Insurance
Provides
benefits when you are hospitalized for those added expenses
not covered by your regular health plan. Because benefits
are paid to you directly, the use of the money is entirely
up to you also. The policy includes daily benefits, intensive
care, accidental injury, outpatient surgery, and extended
care.
Medicare Supplement Insurance
Offers help with those expenses not paid by Medicare. Depending
on your state of residence, you have a choice of several plans
from which to choose. These plans are not available in MA,
NJ, RI.
Health Savings Account
Combines
with a high deductible health plan, such as the One Deductible
Plan from Assurant Health. The HSA is through the State Farm
Bank and allows you to deposit pre-taxed funds which are then
used for the deductible and other qualifying health expenses.
Money left in the account can either stay there to grow with
tax-free interest or can be used at a later time for allowable
health costs.
Long Term Care Insurance
Provides coverages when you can no longer care for yourself
and includes services in your home or in a facility. LTC insurance
can stabilize your finances and assets. There are many choices
for features or options in this plan and can vary according
to your state of residence.
