When searching for individual health insurance in Oregon, your first stop should be at Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. They are committed to providing the best value in health, dental, and vision insurance through quality services. With today’s rising cost of health care, it’s reassuring to know that someone is looking out for you.

You are not alone in needing individual health insurance. For many reasons, people find themselves in life situations that require individual coverage – this can be complicated and confusing! There are many things to consider, for example, if you go to the doctor often, you will need an insurance plan that is vastly different from someone who goes rarely. For someone who goes often, it is better to choose a plan with a lower deductible and higher annual premium. The best way to decide on a plan is to first figure out your needs, and then, let Regence BCBS of Oregon help you choose the perfect plan. Regence BCBSO offers plans in Oregon and Clarke County, Washington.

Blue Selections Medical Plans

These plans offer a broad range of choices for annual deductibles, so you can pick the one that is most suitable to you. There is also a selection for coinsurance levels which can allow you to lower your premium. You can also save more by using the BCBS network of health providers, but you are still free to see any doctor you want at slightly higher cost. There are four plans included in Blue Selections:

  • Blue Selections Premier offers a high deductible and $20 co-payments.
  • Blue Selections Plus offers the use of the BCBS network and lower premiums.
  • Blue Selections Basic provides the lowest premiums while still covering the basics.
  • YouthCare Child Only Plans deliver the above three plans for children 0 to 17.
  • Regence Health Savings Account

A high deductible Blue Selections insurance plan coupled with an HSA at your bank of choice. The insurance plan has several deductible levels to choose from; a higher deductible means lower annual premiums for you. The Health Savings Account is tax exempt and allows you to set aside money which is then used for your deductible and other qualified expenses. You save in two ways and also gain the ability to choose how you spend your health-dedicated money.

    Individual Dentacare

Dental insurance for you and your family through Williamette Dental offices, which are located throughout many areas of Oregon. Routine and emergency care is covered immediately, with major dental procedures covered after six months. These plans can be added as options with other medical plans from BCBS.

    Short-Term Medical Coverage

Provides medical coverage for those who only need it for a short period of time. Policies may range from 30 to 185 days in length and include four deductible options and two coinsurance options.

    CareDirections™

Premier Long-Term Care supplies peace of mind for lengthy illnesses and injuries when a person’s savings is not enough. It covers expenses that most health insurance and Medicare do not. This plan covers up to $4500 per month if and when you need it.

    Medicare Plans

Regence BCBS Medicare Plans feature four options to those who are eligible for Medicare and are chosen according to what area of the state you reside.
