LifeWise Health Plan of Arizona

Considering a change in your individual health insurance plan while living in Arizona? Unfortunately, LifeWise Health Plan of Arizona is no longer an option.

According to the Lifewise web site, they have discontinued offering health insurance plans in the state of Arizona. On their site, they state: "On February 18, 2009, we began notifying contracted providers that LifeWise Health Plan of Arizona made a business decision to stop selling health insurance and will gradually withdraw from the Arizona market."

Your need for the individual type of health insurance may come from a change in your life situation (sometimes right in the middle of a change). A new job without health benefits, early retirement, graduation, marriage, divorce, new self-employment – there are so many people who need individual coverage, instead of group. Buying new health insurance can seem unsettling too. Individual Health Plans can help you quickly find an alternative to LifeWise health insurance; simply request a free quote for Arizona health insurance right here.

Insurance Plans Available from LifeWise Health

Although these plans are no longer available (because LifeWise no longer offers coverage to people in Arizona), they represent what you could expect from other companies in Arizona that may offer similar options.

LifeWise Passport ™

Offered three options for deductible and copayments, allowing you to match your coverages with your budget. Included care from network and out-of-network providers, but network services helped save on out-of-pocket expenses.

LifeWise Essential ™ 20

Offered a lower premium cost because of its high annual deductible. Applied to both network and non-network providers.

LifeWise HSA ™ 20

Combined a high deductible plan with a Health Savings Account, for a tax-advantaged way to save on health care costs. The high deductible plan came with a lower premium. The HSA used the pre-taxed money to pay off the deductible and other qualified expenses. Any balance were left in the account to gain tax-free interest or to be used for medical expenses.
