Destiny Individual Health Plan

Let’s discuss what all of the above means. When you set up the health plan, you open a Personal Medical Fund, like a Health Savings Account, where you deposit a tax-advantaged, fixed amount of money every year. From this account, you pay for the health plan’s annual deductible and other allowable medical costs. Here’s the best part: if the money is not all used, it stays in the account and grows tax-free – or it is put towards next year’s medical expenses. The money deposited into the account is pre-taxed, to your benefit, because it can stay there and gain tax-free interest.

The health plan itself is a traditional, comprehensive plan. You pay your annual deductible and pay coinsurance for following medical services, until you reach your yearly out-of-pocket maximum. After this point, the plan pays 100% of your medical expenses.

The Destiny Health Plan provides benefits to encourage a healthy lifestyle through a health and wellness program called Vitality. It provides airline travel miles, vacation discounts, rebates at health clubs, and more.

In order to offer the best possible care to their members, Destiny Health also provides special Member Support. This includes a Customer Care Center, Healthcare Management Service, an over the phone Audio Library, and 24/7 Nurse Line.

As you can see, you become involved in determining the best choices for your healthcare needs. Along the way, you can save some of your hard earned money.

This plan is offered to individuals in Illinois only and is available as group benefits in several other states.

Destiny Health Plan is in alliance with Guardian Life Insurance Company.
