Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BDBSRI)

BC/BS of Rhode Island Individual Health Plans

HealthMate Coast-to-Coast Direct

Provides low annual premiums, yet extensive benefits through the BCBSRI Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network. There are three basic plan designs. As of 2009, these are: 1. The 80/60 plan; 2. The 90/70 plan; and 3. The 100/80 plan. The first number in these plan names refers to the percentage of in-network coverage after the deductible is met. The second n umber refers to the out-of-network level of coverage.

Blue Cross Dental Direct

Offers comprehensive dental coverage up to $1000 per year per person. It includes free diagnostic and preventive services, with 80% coinsurance on minor procedures and 50% coinsurance on major restorative services.

BlueCHIP for Medicare Plus, Preferred, and Preferred Unlimited

These are various Medicare Advantage program (meaning they include Medicare coverage, plus added benefits). There are three plan options to choose from, depending on your needs and budget. You must be enrolled with Medicare Part B for membership.

Plan 65

A traditional supplemental Medicare coverage designed to cover the coinsurance and deductible levels and coinsurance that Original Medicare may not pay.
