The AAS focuses on four consumer-based areas:
- Wellness programs –
Educates members on nutrition, attitude, and exercise.
- Information – Teaches about intelligent
health practices and information
resources.
- Legislation – Capital Hill and public
health programs of the Surgeon General.
- Incentives – Influences members to
limit their medical expenses.
It is estimated that 47 million people in the
United States are without health coverage and 27 million of
these people own their own businesses or work for a small
business. The Alliance offers health plans to these individuals
through Mid-West Life Insurance Company of Tennessee and is
the master policy holder of these health insurance plans.
AAS Individual Health Plans
Basic Plan
Highlights include
the ability to choose which doctors and hospitals you want,
as well as customized plans for your individual budget and
requirements.
Customer Edge Plan
Provides
the above benefits, in addition to emergency room benefits
for fractures and dislocations.
Mid-West Life Insurance Company of Tennessee
offers many health insurance products to the members of the
Alliance for Affordable Services living in all states, except
Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont.
